Witness appeal following road traffic collision in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a vehicle failed to stop and was subsequently involved in a collision in Bournemouth.

At around 7.30pm on Monday 3 February 2025 a silver Ford S-Max – which was reported as stolen – failed to stop for officers in Wimborne Road in Kinson.

The vehicle travelled along Castle Lane West to Castlepoint, as well as Woodbury Avenue.

It was subsequently involved in a collision with a blue Mazda CX-3 in Throop Road.

The driver and passenger of the Ford left the vehicle on foot and despite searches being carried out, they were not located.

The male driver of the Mazda did not sustain any serious injuries.

Police Constable Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of this incident to identify the two people who fled the scene.

“I would urge anyone who saw the collision, or captured anything of relevance of the incident or moments leading up to it on dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
