Update in relation to reported fail-to-stop collision in Bournemouth
A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal in relation to a reported fail-to-stop collision involving an e-scooter in Bournemouth town centre.
At around 9.10pm on Monday 30 October 2023 a woman aged in her 20s was walking in Old Christchurch Road, near to Beale Place, when she was reportedly involved in a collision with a man on an e-scooter. It was reported that the rider of the e-scooter failed to stop at the scene.
The woman sustained a serious injury to her spine.
Following a CCTV appeal by officers, a man has now come forward and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
