Appeal for witnesses following assault in Poole

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a man was assaulted in Poole.

The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Sunday 28 May 2023 in the vicinity of North Street.

It is reported that the victim – a local man aged in his 40s – was assaulted by a group of teenagers aged between 13 and 16 years old.

The victim sustained serious injuries, which are not life-threatening, and attended hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Thomas Norman, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am carrying out enquiries into this incident and would ask any witnesses to please come forward.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on either dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage.

“Finally, if you have any information about those responsible, please contact Dorset Police.”
