Witness appeal following assault in Dorchester

Officers investigating a report of an assault in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 8.35pm on Sunday 15 March 2026 it was reported that a woman aged in her 40s was assaulted by a man who was known to her in the Fairfield Car Park.

The victim is not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

Police Constable Christopher Hallett, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I would also urge motorists who were in the vicinity around the time of the assault to please review any dashcam footage for anything of relevance.”
