Shoplifting, Ferndown, 13 April 2026.jpg

Officers are issuing CCTV images of two men they would like to identify following a theft from a supermarket in Ferndown.

At around 9.15am on Tuesday 7 April 2026, two men were asked to stop by an officer as they were leaving Tesco in Penny’s Walk.

The man discarded their jackets and ran away from the scene.

The jackets contained over £1,700-worth of stolen items, which were returned to the store.

Police Constable Dominic Holden, of East Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the two men in the images to please come forward.

“While I appreciate you cannot see their faces as they are wearing baseball caps, I would urge anyone who recognises them from their clothing or general build to please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260048764. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
