Image appeal following assault in Bournemouth
Officers investigating an assault in Bournemouth are issuing images of a man they would like to identify.
At around 5.25pm on Friday 1 May 2026 a man and a woman were at a bus stop in Bath Road when they were approached by an unknown man.
It is reported that the unknown man began making inappropriate comments towards the woman, before assaulting her.
It is further reported that when the man tried to intervene, he was also assaulted by the suspect.
No serious injuries were sustained.
Police Constable Joshua Eaton, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am continuing to investigate this incident and am now in a position to issue images of a man I would like to identify as part of my enquiries.
“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.”
