Witness and dashcam appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Poole
Officers investigating a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
At around 8.45pm on Sunday 5 July 2026 a collision occurred involving a car and a pedestrian in Rossmore Road.
It is reported that the car, described as a white Vauxhall Astra, failed to stop at the scene.
Offices attended alongside the ambulance service and a road closure was put in place to allow for the incident to be dealt with.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 40s, was taken hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
Police Constable Mia Lomas, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to please come forward.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area around the time of the collision and captured any relevant dashcam footage.
“Finally, I am appealing to the driver of the car involved to please come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
