Update – man due in court in connection with reported assault in Bournemouth
A man is due to appear in court in connection with a reported serious assault in Bournemouth.
It was reported that at around 11.30pm on Saturday 8 October 2022 a man aged in his 40s was assaulted in Commercial Road. He sustained a laceration to the top of his head as well as further cuts and bruises.
Following detailed enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID and a series of appeals, including a televised appeal on the BBC One show Crimewatch Live, a 20-year-old local man was arrested.
Following further investigative work, he has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 18 October 2024 for an offence of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
