Further arrest following reported serious assault in Bournemouth
Detectives investigating a reported serious assault in Bournemouth have made a third arrest.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.18pm on Sunday 26 April 2026 that a 16-year-old boy had been assaulted in the area of Maclean Road.
It was reported that the victim had sustained suspected stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious.
A full investigation was launched and a cordon was put in place to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
Following initial enquiries, a 17-year-old boy from Poole and a 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and were subsequently released on police bail.
Following further investigative work, led by detectives from BCP CID, a 20-year-old man from Bournemouth was also arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He has also been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
