Appeal for witnesses following road traffic collision in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a road traffic collision in Bournemouth.

At around 4.55pm on Monday 30 September 2024, a collision occurred on Surrey Road at the junction with Prince of Wales Road involving a red Mercedes SLK and a bicycle.

The cyclist – a man aged in his 20s – sustained injuries that are not described as serious.

A 43-year-old woman from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. She has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
