Appeal for information following reported burglary in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for information as they investigate a reported burglary in Bournemouth.

Between 5am and 6am on Friday 23 June 2023 it was reported that entry was gained to a property in Portman Road in Boscombe and cash and other items were stolen.

The victim’s car, a white Hyundai Tucson, was also reportedly taken and was recovered later that day on Windham Road - less than a mile from the address that was allegedly burgled.

Following further investigative work, a 32-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Investigations Officer Steve White, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and I would urge anyone with information that might assist our enquiries to please contact us.

“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around the area of Portman Road on Friday 23 June 2023. I would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or home CCTV covering the areas of Windham Road and Portman Road on that day.”
