Bike theft in Christchurch – CCTV appeal

Officers investigating the theft of a bike in Christchurch are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.

At around 4.40pm on Monday 9 June 2025 a man stole a bike outside the Home Bargains store in Bailey Drive.

The bike is described as a silvery grey, Boardman MTR 8.6 full-suspension mountain bike. 

It was further reported that when the owner of the bike – a teenage boy – followed and confronted the suspect, he brandished a small knife at them.

Police Constable India Russell, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries I have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect.

“I am appealing to anyone with information about his identity to please contact us.”
