Burglary in Weymouth – public appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a burglary in Weymouth.

Between 2.45am and 3am on Thursday 20 June 2024, two men boarded the TS Jack Petchey training ship, which was moored outside the Harbour Master’s office in Weymouth Harbour.

It is reported that two laptops were taken.

Police Constable Antony Frost, of Weymouth police, said: “We are investigating this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or any motorists who may have captured any relevant dashcam footage, to please contact us.

“Also, I would also ask residents in the area with home CCTV or doorbell cameras to please review their footage for anything that might help our investigation.”
