Update – man due in court in connection with reported sexual assault in Christchurch
A man is due to appear in court in connection with the reported sexual assault of a woman in Christchurch.
It was reported that at around 3.30am on Saturday 27 May 2023 a woman aged in her 20s was walking in the area of Barrack Road and Bargates when she came across a man sitting on the bench. She reportedly spoke to the man and was subsequently sexually assaulted.
A 30-year-old man from Christchurch was arrested in connection with the incident and he has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 5 January 2024 for an offence of assault by penetration.
