Update – arrests following reported racially aggravated assault in Bournemouth
Detectives have made two arrests as they continue to investigate a report of racially aggravated assault in Bournemouth.
It was reported that at around 3.05pm on Saturday 29 July 2023 a man aged in his 40s was assaulted in Capstone Road and was subjected to racial abuse during the assault.
He was taken to hospital for treatment to a number of injuries.
Following enquiries by detectives from Bournemouth CID and a CCTV appeal, two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated grievous bodily harm. They have been released on police bail as further enquiries are conducted.
