Further appeal to identify owner of suspected stolen bike
Officers investigating the suspected theft of bikes that were recovered in Christchurch are issuing a further appeal after another bike was located.
On Tuesday 23 April 2024, officers attended an address in the Walkford area of the town and recovered 25 bicycles which are believed to have been stolen.
A 52-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy from Christchurch were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and released on police bail as enquiries continued.
Following further investigative work, officers have now recovered a further bike – a red, silver and blue GT mountain bike – that they also believed has been stolen.
Police Constable Luke Booth, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this matter and I am keen to identify the owner of this latest bike that has been recovered.
“I would urge anyone who recognises the description and thinks they may be the owner, to please come forward and give as much detail as possible, including serial numbers and distinguishing marks, so we can confirm ownership.”
