Appeal for witnesses following aggravated burglary in Lyme Regis
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an aggravated burglary in Lyme Regis.
It is reported that at around 3.50am on Saturday 12 April 2025, five men with their faces covered entered an address off Hill Road while in possession of weapons and demanded money.
Two people were assaulted during the incident. They sustained injuries that are not believed to be serious.
The men left the property with a quantity of cash.
Detective Constable Mia-Isabella Bowditch, of Dorset County CID, said: “A full and detailed investigation is underway into this incident as we work to identify who was involved.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity at the time of the incident to please get in touch.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage.
“I know this incident may cause concern in the community. I would like to reassure that a detailed investigation is underway, and we would encourage anyone with concerns to please speak with their local neighbourhood policing officer.”
