Update following suspected police impersonation in Bournemouth
Three men have been identified following a CCTV appeal in relation to a reported police impersonation in Bournemouth.
At around 3.30am on Thursday 30 November 2023, a woman was walking in Old Christchurch Road where she met three men. It is reported that one of the men showed the woman a false warrant card. The three men drove the woman home in a silver Volvo whilst reportedly illuminating flashing blue lights and sounding a siren fitted to the vehicle during the journey.
No harm came to the woman.
Following a CCTV appeal by officers, three men have now come forward and are assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
