Update in relation to reported assault in Wareham
A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal in relation to a reported assault in Wareham.
It was reported that between 5pm and 5.20pm on Saturday 28 February 2026 a child accidentally sprayed a man with water in the male changing rooms of the Purbeck Sports Centre in Worgret Road.
The man reportedly responded by striking the child around the head.
Following a CCTV appeal by officers, a man has come forward and is assisting with the investigation.
