Update following reported theft in Bournemouth

A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal in relation to a reported theft and alleged fraudulent use of a bank card in Bournemouth.

It was reported that overnight between Friday 12 June and Saturday 13 June 2026, entry was gained to an unattended vehicle in Pine Road, Bournemouth.

Items worth around £700 were reportedly stolen from the vehicle, including a purse and handbag.

Subsequently, the victim’s bank card was reported to have been used at two local stores on the Saturday.

Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, a man has come forward in connection with this incident and is assisting with the investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
