Witness appeal following reported knife incident in Ferndown

Officers investigating reports of a man allegedly in possession of a knife at an industrial estate in Ferndown are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 4pm on Wednesday 8 June 2022 it was reported that a man was seen making threats with a knife in the Cobham Road area of Ferndown Industrial estate.

A 53-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place and released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police Constable Neil Gauden, of Dorset police, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I am now appealing for anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.

“At this time of day, I am aware there were other people on the industrial estate who may have witnessed this incident and not spoken to us yet.

“I would urge anyone with information that might assist this investigation to get in touch.”
