Appeal for witnesses following alleged assault in Bournemouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an alleged assault in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2am on Sunday 7 September 2025 of an assault near to Golden Supermarket in Charminster Road.

A man aged in his 40s sustained minor injuries to his face and arms.

Following enquiries, a 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and affray. He has been released on police bail as the investigation continues.

Police Constable Mohi Uddin, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch.

“From our initial enquiries, we believe there may have been other people who were reportedly assaulted and we would ask them to please come forward so we can take their account.”
