Witness appeal following assault in Blandford

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an assault in Blandford.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2.25am on Sunday 21 April 2024 of a fight involving two groups of people between The Crown Hotel in West Street and The Greyhound in Market Place.

Officers attended and spoke to the groups at the scene. During the incident, one man sustained a fractured eye socket and a second man sustained facial injuries. They both attended hospital for treatment.

Police Constable James Owen, of North Dorset police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“If you have information about those believed to be involved, please get in touch.”
