Image appeal following theft of bike in Verwood

Officers investigating the theft of a bike from inside a vehicle in Verwood are appealing for information and issuing an image of the stolen item.

At around 2.30am on Wednesday 30 July 2025, a report was received that two men had forced entry to a vehicle in Burnbake Road and stolen a bike from inside.

The bike is described as a Pivot Phoenix mountain bike.

Police Constable Matt Cutler, of East Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident to identify those responsible.

“As part of my investigation, I am issuing an image of the stolen bike and would ask anyone who has seen it for sale locally in unusual circumstances to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time.”
