Renewed appeal as searches continue for missing Bournemouth man

Officers are renewing their appeal for information from the public as searches continue for a missing Bournemouth man.

Dorset Police received a report at around 8.50am on Saturday 16 November 2024 raising concern for the welfare of Richard Bentley, aged 55. He was last in contact with a friend on Monday 11 November 2024 and has not been seen or heard from since.

Richard is described as five feet nine inches tall and of very slim build with grey brown hair and is normally wearing baggy clothes.

Chief Inspector Darren Harris, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing our enquiries to try and locate Richard but have still not been able to establish his whereabouts and it has been nine days he since was last heard from now.

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for Richard’s welfare and I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts, or who has seen a man matching the description given in recent days, to please get in touch.

“I would also like to repeat our plea to Richard to please make contact with us and let us know where you are. We just want to make sure that you are safe and well.”
