Witness appeal following alleged assault in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating an alleged assault in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 5.24pm on Saturday 30 November 2024 that a man had been assaulted in Northcote Road.

The victim – aged in his 40s –sustained lacerations to his thumb, finger and arm and man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Following enquiries, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released on police bail as further investigations are carried out.

Detective Inspector Darren Moores, of BCP CID, said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and I would ask anyone who may have seen what happened to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to speak with any residents with home CCTV or anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
