Arrest in connection with report of racially aggravated incident in Poole

A man has been arrested in connection with a report of a racially aggravated incident in Poole.

It was reported that at around 10.30am on Sunday 14 June 2026 a member of staff working at Poole Retail Park in Redlands was racially abused by another man.

It was further reported that the man made threats of violence towards the victim before being escorted away.

Following an image appeal and enquiries by officers, a 29-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and racially or religiously aggravated common assault. He has been released on police bail as further enquiries are carried out.
