Appeal for witnesses following alleged indecent exposure incidents in Bournemouth

Officers investigating reported incidents of indecent exposure in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The first incident occurred at around 8.20pm on Tuesday 5 July 2022 in Queen’s Park Golf Course. A woman was walking her dog in the woods when she reportedly noticed a man undressing himself in a hedge.

It is alleged that he approached the woman and indecently exposed himself, as well as made inappropriate comments. The woman continued to walk away from the scene.

The second incident occurred at around 8pm on Wednesday 6 July 2022 at the same location. It is reported that a man indecently exposed himself to the same female victim.

Following enquiries, a 23-year-old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of exposure and released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Investigations Officer Katy Pearson, of Dorset Police, said: “Our investigation is continuing into both of these incidents and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have been walking in the area and have any further information to help my enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220109766.
