Public appeal to find missing woman in Portland

Officers are appealing for help and information from the public as they search for a missing woman in Portland.

Leanie, aged 37, was last seen in the area of Chiswell in Portland at around 3.50pm on Tuesday 12 August 2025.

She is described as five feet eight inches tall with ginger hair worn in a ponytail.

She was last seen wearing a colourful patterned playsuit and carrying a black bag.

Leanie is also known as Lily. 

Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset Police, said: “We are growing concerned for Leanie’s welfare and are carrying out searches to try and locate her.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Leanie, or a woman matching the description given, to please get in touch. If you have any current sightings of Leanie, please call 999 immediately.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Leanie’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250119420.
