Update in relation to reported dog bite incident in Swanage

A man has attended for police interview in connection with an incident where a boy was reportedly bitten by a dog in Swanage.

The incident occurred at around 5.10pm on Tuesday 2 May 2023 in the garden of The Crows Nest Inn in Ulwell Road. It was reported that a seven-year-old child was bitten by a dog and sustained an injury to his head, which required hospital treatment.

Following an image appeal in relation to the incident and detailed enquiries by officers, a man aged in his 60s from Cumbria has attended for a voluntary police interview and is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
