Witness appeal following alleged attempted burglaries in East Dorset

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following reports of two attempted burglaries in East Dorset.

Between 6pm and 7pm on Thursday 31 March 2022 it is reported that a man attempted to gain entry to two properties on Ringwood Road in Longham.

On both occasions, it is alleged that the man was disturbed by occupants within the property.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area. A 21-year-old man from Hampshire was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Ashlea Gale, of Ferndown police, said: “Our investigation is continuing into these incidents and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“I would also urge residents and motorists to please check their home CCTV systems or dashcams for any relevant footage to assist my enquiries.”
