Appeal following burglary at store in Poundbury
Officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a burglary at a store in Poundbury.
At around 2.20am on Sunday 7 June 2026 it is reported a man smashed the glass front door of the Spar shop in Middlemarsh Street, gained entry and stole alcohol and cigarettes from the premises.
Local CCTV enquiries have been carried out and an investigation remains ongoing.
Police Constable Ben Hannigan, of County LPA, said: “We have carried out house-to-house enquiries in relation to this incident and would ask anyone who may have seen or heard anything at the relevant time to please come forward.
“I would also ask any nearby residents to check their home CCTV camera and any motorists who were in the area at the time and may have captured anything on dashcam to please get in touch.”
