Appeal to locate owners of recovered bikes in Christchurch

Officers who recovered a number of suspected stolen bikes in Christchurch are issuing an appeal in a bid to reunite them with their owners.

On Saturday 25 March 2023 officers attended an address in the Highcliffe area and recovered 18 bicycles, which are believed to have been stolen.

The bicycles that were recovered include:

  • Grey Cube bike
  • Red Boardman bike
  • Grey women’s Carrera bike
  • Blue/silver Carrera Crossfire bike
  • Grey/green Giant Roam bike
  • Black Giant Escape
  • Black GT bike
  • Black GT Aggressor bike
  • Grey Giant bike
  • Silver Pinnacle bike
  • White women’s Scott Sport 30 bike
  • Pink children’s bike with stabilisers
  • Blue GT Avalanche bike
  • Dark blue Scott bike
  • Red Specialized Allez bike
  • Grey Specialized Sirrus bike
  • Blue Specialized Rockhopper bike
  • Grey Trek FX1 bike

Police Constable Michael Day, of Dorset Police, said: “I am really keen to hear from anyone who believes they have had a bike matching one of the descriptions given stolen recently.

“If you suspect one of the recovered bikes is yours, please get in touch with a full description of the item, including serial number and any other distinguishing marks. If the item matches one we have recovered, we will be in touch.”
