Detectives secured conviction against man who raped two women
A man who raped two women has been jailed after the brave victims came forward and enabled detectives to secure convictions against him.
Nichail Jamal Sixto, aged 39 and of Bournemouth, was found guilty of three counts of rape at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 28 May 2026.
The first victim came forward after she was raped by Sixto, who was known to her, during an evening in June 2024 at a barber shop in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth where the defendant worked.
Despite the victim – a woman aged in her 20s – trying to push him off, Sixto continued and made efforts to film what was happening on his mobile phone.
Later that year in October 2024, the defendant visited the home address of a woman aged in her 30s in Poole.
The victim told Sixto multiple times that she did not want to have sex with him, but he proceeded to hold her down and rape her.
Sixto – a Trinidadian and Tobagonian national who defines himself as being Black Caribbean including Black British – was arrested on Sunday 27 October 2024 and detectives carried out a full investigation while providing support to the victims.
Sixto also pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroine in Bournemouth between April and July 2023.
He was sentenced at the same court on Friday 3 July 2026 to three years and five months in prison for the drugs offences. Sixto was handed an 11-year custodial sentence for the rape offences, which will be served consecutively with a total of 14 years and 5 months in prison. He will also serve an additional licence period of a further five years for the rape offences.
Detective Constable Tasha Beaufils, of BCP CID, said: “Nichail Sixto raped two women and denied carrying out his horrific offending when interviewed.
“We were determined to hold Sixto to account for his actions and ensure we sought justice for the victims.
“We will continue to support victims of rape and sexual offences and are absolutely committed to identifying those responsible and taking robust action against them.
“Sixto was also sentenced for supplying class A drugs, which we know has an impact on our communities and we will continue to fully investigate those involved and bring them to justice.”
