Appeal following commercial burglary in North Dorset

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a commercial burglary in North Dorset.

At around 2am on Sunday 3 August 2025 entry was gained to a property in the area of Tarrant Gunville, near Blandford Forum. 

A number of power tools were stolen during the incident, including a chainsaw, hedge trimmers and PPE equipment valued at approximately £2,660.

Police Constable Shaun Fewell, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area overnight between Saturday 2 August and Sunday 3 August 2025.

“I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has come across any tools matching those described being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances.”
