At around 6.30pm on Saturday 29 April 2023 a man aged in his 30s was walking down Cardigan Road, in the direction of Wimborne Road, when he heard another man calling to him. He turned round and reportedly saw the man on the other side of the road holding what appeared to be a possible firearm.

No further threats were made, and the victim was able to walk away from the scene.

“From our enquiries, we understand there may have been other people in the area around the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam on their vehicle, or residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras, to please check their footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
