Appeal for witnesses following fatal road traffic collision in Bournemouth
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a fatal road traffic collision in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at 10.39pm on Tuesday 15 April 2025 of a road traffic collision involving a Yamaha motorcycle in Droxford Road.
It was reported the motorcycle had collided with a bollard.
Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and road closures were put in place.
Very sadly, the motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.
Police Sergeant Michael Burt, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the man who very sadly died in this collision.
“We are continuing to carry out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoke to police, or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage, to please make contact with us.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
