Suspected drug dealer charged following arrest in Bournemouth

A man has been charged with drug supply offences after intelligence led to an arrest in Bournemouth.

After receiving information, officers carrying out enquiries into an alleged county lines drug network stopped a man outside an address in Richmond Hill on Wednesday 11 September 2024 as part of a planned and targeted operation.

He was reportedly found in possession of three mobile phones before further searches of the flat uncovered suspected class A drugs and a quantity of cash.

The 31-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was subsequently charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 13 September 2024. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday 11 October 2024.

Detective Sergeant Matt Cooke, of Dorset Police, said: “We remain committed to rigorously investigating suspected county lines drug networks operating in our communities and we are greatly assisted by intelligence and information we receive from the public.

“We would urge any members of the public with information related to suspected drug supply or drug-related activity in their area to please report it to us at www.dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101. If a crime is in progress, always dial 999.”
