Road traffic collision in Bridport – witness and dashcam appeal

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch following a collision in Bridport.

At around 1.30pm on Friday 11 April 2025, a collision occurred involving a red Nissan Juke and a motorbike on the A35 between Walditch Road and Firch Lane.

It is reported that the driver of the Nissan, described as an elderly man, stopped and asked for details from the motorcycle rider, but did not give any of his own details and left the scene.

The motorcycle rider – aged in his 20s from Bournemouth – sustained minor injuries.

Police Constable Paul Miners, of Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses who were in the area and saw the collision to please come forward.

“Also, if you have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please get in touch.

“I am really keen to hear from the driver of the Nissan so we can take your account of what happened.”
