Witness and dashcam appeal following serious injury collision in Christchurch

Officers investigating a serious injury collision in Christchurch are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 9.50am on Monday 14 September 2026 a collision occurred in the car park of Gifted in Lymington Road involving a blue Mercedes Benz Vito and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – a woman aged in her 40s – was taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

The driver of the Mercedes was uninjured.

Police Sergeant Mark Smith, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “A thorough investigation into the cause of the collision is taking place along with a vehicle examination.

“I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken with police to please come forward.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists who were in the area of the car park and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
