Witness appeal following serious injury collision in Poole
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward as they investigate a serious injury road traffic collision in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.23am on Thursday 15 May 2025 of a collision on Wallisdown Road, near to the junction with Canford Avenue, involving a black Kawasaki motorcycle, a white Ford Fiesta and a brown Land Rover Defender.
Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorcycle – a man aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be life-threatening. His family has been informed.
Road closures have been put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident and for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses to please contact us.
“In particular, I am keen to speak to a pedestrian who was believed to be crossing at the pedestrian crossing near to the junction with Canford Avenue on Wallisdown Road at the time of the collision.
“I would also urge any motorists who were in the vicinity to please review any dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
