Update following report of assault and attempted theft in Corfe Mullen
A man has been arrested and charged following a report of an assault and an attempted theft at a shop in Corfe Mullen.
It was reported that at around 4pm on Monday 15 December 2025 a man entered Co-op in Wareham Road and attempted to steal alcohol.
A member of staff reportedly intervened, but was pushed into a metal door. They sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.
Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, a 50-year-old man from the Blandford area has been charged with assault by beating and theft and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 26 March 2026.
