Woman due to appear in court in relation to serious injury collision in Bournemouth
A woman has been charged and is due to appear in court in relation to a serious injury collision in Bournemouth.
A report was received at 1.18pm on Tuesday 4 March 2025 of a collision involving a red Vauxhall Mokka and a red Triumph motorbike on Wimborne Road in Winton.
The rider of the motorbike – a man aged in his 60s from Bournemouth – was taken to hospital for treatment with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car did not sustain any serious injuries.
Following detailed enquiries, a 42-year-old woman from Bournemouth has been charged with causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
She has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 22 January 2026.
