Public appeal in search for missing Bournemouth man

Officers are appealing for information from the public as they search for a missing man in Bournemouth.

James, aged 51, was reported missing having last been seen in the area of Herberton Road at around 4pm on Wednesday 20 May 2026.

He is described as six feet four inches tall and of slim build with short dark grey hair and stubble.

James is believed to be wearing a grey coloured hooded top, blue jeans and either white trainers or brown boots.

Inspector Tracy Santoni, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for James’ welfare and are carrying out enquiries to locate him.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding James’ whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to James’ whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 999, quoting occurrence number 55260073768.
