Update – man charged following reported serious assault in Bournemouth

A man has been charged and appeared in court in connection with a serious assault in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 8.55pm on Tuesday 3 June 2025 of a serious assault in which the victim – a man aged in his 40s – sustained stab wounds at an address in Kerley Road.

Officers attended the incident with the the ambulance service and the victim was taken to hospital where he continues to receive treatment to his injuries.

A 43-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.

Following a detailed investigation, he was subsequently charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article and drugs offences.

He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 5 June 2025 and has been remanded. He is next due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday 3 July 2025.
