Officers investigating a report of a concern for welfare incident in Poole are pleased to confirm that the woman involved has been located safe and well.

Dorset Police received a report at 6.53pm on Monday 28 March 2022 that a female passenger of a car shouted for help while the vehicle was travelling on Ashley Road near to the junction with Loch Road in the direction of Redlands Retails Park.

Following an image appeal, the female occupant of the car has come forward to say that she is safe and well.

Detective Inspector Ian Allen, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We carried out an investigation to establish whether anybody had come to any harm and we are now satisfied that no criminal offences have occurred.

“The report was made in good faith by a concerned member of the public and we would like to thank them for contacting us as this allowed us to ensure that the woman is safe and well.”
