Body found in search for missing Portland man
Officers are very sad to update that a body has been found in the search for a missing Portland man.
Gary, aged 59, was reported missing having last been seen on the afternoon of Thursday 23 April 2026.
It was reported on the afternoon of Friday 8 May 2026 that a body had been found in the sea off the coast of Salcombe in Devon.
While formal identification has not yet taken place, it is believed to be Gary and his family has been informed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
